Kids Club
The
TTB kids club started in 2006 when two dads and their kids decided to
go for a child oriented ride. It quickly became obvious that there was
no way these kids were going to let that be the last ride. This was
the start of the “Kids Club.”
Our Kids Club rides are geared towards children, both boys and girls, ages 5-12, VERY inexperienced riders or those who just want to enjoy watching kids be kids.
The ride pace is slow but these rides are always
fun filled and very exciting for everyone involved.
We try to ride at a minimum of every 2 months, more often when possible. We do have some 1 day rides however most of the rides include overnight camping just to add some good quality bonding time and life long memories. Our typical rides can have anywhere from 2 to 10 kids riding at a time and always include plenty of adult supervision.
Riding locations are always scouted and researched well in advance with parents pre-riding the planned routes to insure the trails are suitable for the children's skill levels.
Our rides are usually either on private land in the Triad, Busco Beach or the Hatfield McCoy Trail System in West Virginia. We also have plans for an upcoming ride at Carolina Adventure World.
Here
is how it works.
Come with the understanding that this is for the children's enjoyment. If they decide to play in the creek instead of ride then so be it, if they decide to play tag instead of ride……...that’s fine too. Based on past experience though, the kids usually don't want to turn off the ATVs for very long!

The only thing that comes before making sure the kids have fun is making sure they're safe. As a group, the Triad Trailblazers are very safety oriented however with the kids even more attention is placed on safety. We try to keep the kids grouped together in a single file line with an experienced adult leading and scouting the trail, then an adult leading the kids, with the remaining adults following and ready to help when needed.
In order for the Kids Club to operate in the
safest possible manner we have a few very important requirements in
order to participate. First, children must be on an ATV that
fits them according to the manufactures stated age and size
restrictions as well as be appropriate for their individual riding
ability.
Secondly, the child's parent or legal guardian must be present on
the ride. The other parents are there to help, give guidance,
and attempt
to prevent accidents or injuries, but each child's parent or guardian is
solely responsible for their own child's safety and actions.
Required equipment with no exceptions are DOT
approved helmets, eye protection and chest protectors. We also strongly
suggest over the ankle boots, gloves and the use of an ATV safety flag.
Our main focus is meant to be on fun, however, kids should be mature enough and responsible enough to follow instructions to insure the safest possible environment.

So what are you waiting for! Grab your kids, load up the ATV's and come on out and have some fun with us!
We guarantee the memories will last a lifetime!
