I will gladly do what everyone else wants but really would rather stay in one place and ride from there. Also, every time I try to download the files my computer wants to open them in Adobe which does not work. How do I change what to open them with, yes, I am still pretty computer dumb. You have to have gps software like Garmin Mapsource on your PC to open them. You can also open them in Google Earth. Lonnie - Try using ExpertGPS. Much easier to use than MapSource. Just gotta buy it after trial period. I bought it and have been using it for several years. www.expertgps.com/download.asp

I’d like to stay as many places as possible and do loops to next city. To Bobs point it’s not really possible in Utah due to 50” trails and hotel limitations.
I’m not really that interested in Moab but will go if the truck my machine is on stops there.
Bob - let’s do lunch sometime and review on Laptop. If a bigger group wants to discuss then we can do a time that works better for many. Could be an old-school TTB Golden Corral meeting.

Any interest in Colorado? Maybe the Lake City area. Gunnison and Alpine loop are doable from there.

I see two groups for Utah trip -
Group 1 - One group that stays at different places each night
And
Group 2 - One group that stays at one spot most nights.
Who’s in which group? Curious of preference.
Group 1 - park and ride a mostly loop with different motel each night- Randy Allen Ken Larry Tom
Group 2 - stay at one place most nights
Also how many days to ride?
I’m ok with 5 to 7 days.

Group 1 6-7 days would be alright with me. While out there let’s do it . Don’t want to drive straight thru out and back. I got plenty of time now. I’ll take a couple more days vacation. Might want to stand on the street corner in Arizona for a while.😃😀😃 n hang loose.

I'm in group 1 if we are not trailering from one spot to another spot each night. I'd prefer to ride my SxS from place to place like what we did in Arizona. I'd carry my clothes bag in my SxS. The journey is far more important than the destination.

I am with Larry. Prefer Trucks and trailers stay at one location. Then travel in S x S - staying in different hotels.
I am good with 5 - 7 days
Note: will be ok with whatever the group decides.

Randy, Ken, Larry and I have been working on this for a couple of weeks. I have attached the tracks and a spreadsheet of mileage, gas & lunch stops, and hotels. We have decided to skip BRCM and spend two nights in Bryce, there is a lot to do there and it will be a slack day in between the two long days. The tracks to and from Bryce are a little long but we will ride a lot of it at a fairly fast pace. If you remember there are a lot of long straight sections Day1 - will be from Richfield (where we park the trucks) to Bryce via Paiute trails and Otter Creek. We will avoid 50" & 60" trails. Day2 - will be spent in Bryce riding the Paunsaugnut and possibly do some touristing. Bryce National Park is there and we can ride to see the sunset over the pink cliffs. Bryce has nice hotels and restaurants. Day3 - ride from Bryce to Salina via the Fremont trail and Paiute trails, Circle City and Koosheram. (World famous Koosheram burgers for lunch) We will avoid 50" & 60" trails. Salina has nice hotels and restaurants. Day4 - Salina to Manti via the Arapeen trails, we will avoid 50' trails. Day5 - Manti to Castle Dale and then ride to The Wedge for those who wish to.(Utah Grand Canyon) Day6- Castle Dale to Richfield via Salina for lunch You can also see The Wedge on the way home. You take the Buckhorn Draw road exit. You can drive your truck and trailer to it on a graded gravel road about 30 miles. Moab - You can go to Moab on the way out, or way home since we are staying on I-70. You could skip the last two days also. Let us know your thoughts. The reason we are booking now for Manti is because the Manti Motel has closed just leaving one motel with a big event riding out of Manti on the 23rd.

Willow Creek Inn in Ephraim might be another option if Manti doesn't have enough room.
